The Soundpad Album… Finally launched!!!!

The 29th of April was the official release of the much awaited Soundpad Album Produced by John Leckie and Dan Austin… and we were there to document the whole thing!

British Council!

After an exceptionally hot sound check (yes our tans just keep going!) lots of biryani (Go Lucky!) and nimbooz and several still pictures later (Goolshireen’s fascination with her new camera is very much abundant), the bands, production crew and everyone from the British Council was ready for the final launch of the album, and what better way than by live performances of 3 of the 4 bands that were a part of the project.  (Advaita couldn’t make it and they were very much missed)

Indigo Children kicked off the show with a great set, and the energy kept going as Medusa took the stage. Always a performance to look forward to, Swarathma closed the show with a bang (though we were all very upset that ghodi didn’t manage to make her way to stage).

Shooting the gig was fun (though Sam was upset that she was handling a tripod and didn’t get to run around and get her upside down shots that only she can make look great ) and we were really happy because Misha, very willingly volunteered to shoot with the third camera. She secretly loves shooting more than anything. We capitalized on that. Thank you Mish! You’re a rock star!

We would also like to thank Kismet Nakai for taking the still pictures at the gig and completing our “all girls” prodution crew! We’re in the process of editing the footage and can’t wait to see the final product.
