So ! The 2009 Jack Daniel Awards happened last weekend, on the 5th of Feb 2010.

And of course, we were there to cover it because *refer cleverly captioned post*

Our work is more inspiring than the title of this post. We promise.

Held in association with the world’s leading music magazine Rolling Stone and Hard Rock Cafe, The Jack Daniel awards is India’s most prestigious annual awards for excellence in rock music.

This time however, we went one step ahead and captured more than just the performances.

This time, we shot an entire rockumentary revolving around the event and everything associated with it.

Armed with three cameras, some over caffeinated employees and a P Man, we set off for Hard Rock Cafe, which incidentally, was the venue for the event.

Behind the scenes footage, backstage interviews with the winners and performances by bands like Tough on Tobacco, Whirling Kalapas, Shkabang and our very own Band of the Year winners Swarathma; with Rohit Pereira as the host, all of it was documented on tape. And how !

It was almost like an episode of the P Man Show.
And by that I mean it bears absolutely no resemblance to the P Man Show except for the fact that it has the same host.

From 9:30 in the morning to 2:30 next morning, we were all over the place.

We stayed through it all; the setup, the sound check, the awards and the performances.

We even stood outside and waited around for the sun to set so we could get cool transition shots of the Hard Rock Cafe logo.

We’re enthusiastic like that.

And now seventeen tapes down the line, we’re all set to digitize and edit the sixteen odd hours of footage that we have. Fun right.
