Samira Kanwar was shortlisted from the many applications received by the British Council for their annual Young Screen Entrepreneur’s Award for 2008.

At the presentation for the awards held in Mumbai, she was lauded for her innovative ideas in film and the use of the Internet and was a keen contender for winning the award.
