We’re back, we’re tanned and we’re happy!! After shooting Goa Fest 2009 for Campaign India on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of April, we came back exhausted but ready to get back to work. This was a completely new experience for us. Not only did we shoot the fest in its entirety (no, this was an advertising conference, no music involved) but also covered a number of exclusive interviews for the newly launched magazine’s online debut.

Exclusive interview with JWT'S Michael Maedel
Work was divided between shooting on location and getting back in time to edit and upload the contents, in the true rush and fashion of any successful magazine.
Even though the fest started off slow, days 2 and 3 kept us on our toes (also, a good precaution to prevent the burning sand from incinerating our feet.)
This would also be a good point at which to mention that whenever we weren’t running around in the sun, sweating profusely but tanning none the less, we were chilling (a.k.a editing
) at the Leela - a place we knew we would definitely enjoy from the moment we drove in and saw the plush lawns, manmade lakes and individual villas (also, the profuse ‘garlanding’ when we arrived added to its appeal.)
Not to forget Samira’s great feat of bravery, she was the only camera person to get onto a speed boat and get some great exclusive footage of two of the biggest ad execs in the country enter the festival on jet skies.

We also managed to finish an entire crab, a 1 kg lobster, many goa sausages and lots and lots of chocolate ice cream - in one day!

CRAB!!!
On the whole the trip was a blast. We met new people, made new friends shot some great footage, ate fantastic food and to add to it all we got one full day of un-disturbed sun bathing on a beach in goa!
